Valerie Maloof, LMSW

Valerie brings to her therapeutic services a focus on mindfulness and embodiment, as well as over two decades of experience working in multicultural and diverse environments.

Valerie believes in a collaborative approach where client and therapist work together to identify intervention areas and develop the therapeutic roadmap. Areas of interest include depression, relationship and life transitions, sport and academic performance anxiety, perfectionism, adjustment to high school/college, divorce, sexuality and cancer.


Therapeutic approach
is attachment-based, relying on interpersonal and embodiment-focused therapies (mindfulness, CBT, DBT).

Therapeutic areas include interpersonal challenges, life transitions (high school, college, job, aging, marriage, children), anxiety (academic, social and performance), cancer diagnosis, and relationships (sexuality, infidelity, divorce).

Works with adolescents (11+), college students, young adults, adults, couples, people in relationships, Spanish-speaking individuals.

Languages Valerie was born in Perú and is fluent in Spanish. She also speaks basic German, Italian and Portuguese.
